Celebrating 30 years of nurturing young minds. Glory, Gratitude and Grace.

Someone rightly said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step. The year was 1995 when the foundation for greatness was laid.
Little Nest Convent (A government registered school)- a school with a difference. Where discipline comes over education and education is not mere learning of facts. Little Nest Convent is not just a school but a purpose, a purpose to foster a healthy environment where each mind grows holistically and learns all the nitty gritties of life.
Started by Dr. Ranjan Sinha the school has witnessed many such events that added to its glory and repute. From being encouraged by the cultural minister and other reputed ministers for such an initiative to being awarded 'The best school of the area' by the Governor of sikkim, this school has left no stone unturned in proving it's calibre.
But greatness is never born out of luck. It's the result of a farsighted vision, endless hardwork, empathy and persistence. All of which was put into practice by one single Man Dr. Ranjan Sinha the founder/Director of this school.
Dr. Sinha an educationist and research scholar by profession holding a PhD in sociology, awardee of many honourable prizes like the Nelson Mandela Peace Prize, is a man of multiple capabilities donning many hats a time. From being a poet to a philosopher to a theatre persona and above all a Teacher. Not many feathers left to be added in his cap.
A man of morals and principles who have instilled the same values in this school and saw it growing like his own child. During all this while he have been firmly supported by his better half and the principal of this school Smt chaitali Sinha who brings her radiance and goodwill to this school apart from her experience as a senior teacher of many other reputed schools.
Both of these enigmatic people have taken this school to new horizons by their virtue and constant pursuit of greatness.
Even after so many years this school sticks to its values that is rooted deep within each and every member of this school. Whether a student, a teacher or any other staff member. They all know what this school stands for and they proudly stand for the same.
This school is a one big family where every festival, every ocassion is celebrated with love, spirituality and happiness. Where traditions are respected and humanity is kindled.
In this long journey of 30 years this school has created some of its own traditions that are ardently followed without fail.
Every year on the ocassion of Saraswati Puja the whole school worships the goddess of knowledge, the puja is initiated by the founder and bhog prasad is distributed among everyone in the school and in its neighbourhood. This has been a customary practice since the foundation of the school.
Another such tradition is contributing to the society in some way or the other. Whether it be distributing sweets and stationery to the slum kids on Diwali or visiting police stations and old age homes to tie rakhis to our protectors and the senior citizens on the ocassion of Rakshabandhan. This school has actively taken part in giving back to the society.
Little Nest Convent has come a long way and it has not been an easy journey. Where every other school was being commercial and running for profits, it chose to stick by its purpose. The purpose of educating the under privileged and the economically weak. Running under the banner of UMA PURABI SOCIO WELFARE AND Edu cultural trust this school has never been driven by money rather by values and this is what has distinguished it from other schools.
Even during the pandemic when educational institutions were crumbling down due to finances it chose to stay strong. But this was all possible because of the founder of this school Dr. Ranjan Sinha. Who without giving a second thought self funded this school for a span of two complete years.
Let me tell you that running a school is not at all an easy task and running a school of this sort is near to impossible.
Little Nest Convent is an exemplary school and every locality needs such a school.
