Indian PSUs Have Become More Dynamic, Says Hardeep Puri At IEW 2025 Closing Ceremony

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, on Friday informed that the next edition of the India Energy Week will take place in Goa in 2026. The minister said that the exhibition has ‘exceeded expectations’ and emerged as a key business forum shaping the global energy transition. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the IEW 2025, Puri said that the event was successful and saw strong global participation reflecting India’s growing role in the global energy market. “People come to this platform to actually conduct business,” the minister said. In Modi’s India, PSUs are very dynamic,” the minister added. He further said that the public sector undertakings in the country have shifted as they embrace new technologies, decarbonisation initiatives, and global partnerships. Notably, ADNOC Gas inked a 14-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with IndianOil Cooperation (Indian Oil) at the IEW 2025 for exporting up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the energy company.  Also Read : RBI Restricts New India Cooperative Bank Businesses. Here's What Customers Must Do Now US-India Trade Talks And Energy Sector Regarding the latest US-India trade talks, the minister said that it was widely expected that the bilateral discussions will include energy cooperation. He added that he witnessed major interest from ministers and dignitaries in the exhibition to be part of the Indian energy ecosystem. “Apart from the discussions taking place in Washington, one of them said that the USIBC (US-India Business Council) wants to set up a small informal working group with us to look at the application of AI.
