New 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line First Look: A Premium Enthusiast SUV Coming To India
Volkswagen India has just announced that it will be launching its new generation Tiguan but the car launching here would be the new generation R-Line. The R-Line would be an enthusiast SUV in the premium space. It is based on the new generation Tiguan SUV. It is basically an SUV for enthusiasts with an engine from the Golf GTI which is also coming to India. The engine in question is a 2.0 turbo petrol with 258hp and a more dynamic suspension setup. Gearbox is a 7speed dual clutch automatic and it is all wheel drive. The car will come with Pro adaptive suspension. The styling is all new and has a sharper look as well with the interior too having a modern look. The platform is the MQB EVO while the interior has a huge 15.1 inch touchscreen. This is a performance suv and at the expected price point which would be Rs 50-60 lakh, there aren't any cars like this. Volkswagen will probably bring this as a CBU and the new Tiguan would now be a more fun to drive option amongst big SUVs. The Tiguan has been on sale in India in its previous forms but with 2.0l TSI while now the more powerful avatar via the R-Line will mean enthusiasts will now have more options.
