New Delhi [India], August 8: As part of the National Immunization Awareness Month celebrations, Gujarat Science City organized an expert talk titled “From Cells to Shots: The Science of Immunity and Vaccination” on August 7, 2025. The session was delivered by Prof. Jolly Shah, Assistant Professor, School of Health Sciences, Farmingdale State College, New York, who is presently at Ahmedabad.
The program aimed to spread awareness about the human immune system and the crucial role of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases. Over 100 students from Adani Vidya Mandir and educators attended the session and engaged with the content enthusiastically. The presentation offered scientific insights in a clear, accessible manner, earning appreciation from both students and faculty.
Prof. Jolly Shah said, “The COVID-19 pandemic taught us how crucial our immune system is and why vaccines matter. Learning the science behind them helps us make better health decisions and prepares us for future challenges.”
Dr. Vrajesh Parikh, General Manager of Sthe cience Popularization Department at Gujarat Science City, shared his thoughts on the occasion:
