Police Chauki to Serve as Law Enforcement Post and Community Welfare Centre: Praveen Bhardwaj

Police Welfare, under the guidance of Mr Praveen Bhardwaj , is upgrading the Police Chauki to strengthen community safety.
This initiative marks a significant step towards modernising police infrastructure and fostering strong police–public partnerships through the provision of improved facilities and services.

The upgraded chauki will be equipped with advanced communication systems, CCTV surveillance, and amenities designed for women and child security, ensuring safer and more inclusive community policing. Welfare provisions will also include comfortable rest areas, health facilities, and educational support centers for police families, reflecting the holistic vision of police welfare as advocated by national policy guidelines.

Speaking on the occasion, senior officials highlighted the importance of participative decision-making in welfare project planning and the key role of front-line police personnel in building trust and security within the community. Special outreach activities, including health camps and educational workshops, will be regularly organised at the new chauki in collaboration with local volunteers and NGOs, ensuring wider welfare coverage and positive community impact.

Bhardwaj Ji stated, "These efforts ensure that police chaukis under welfare projects not only function as law enforcement posts but also as nodes for community interaction, welfare delivery, and trust-building between citizens and police." This highlights the dual role of upgraded police chaukis in strengthening security and fostering closer relationships between police and the communities they serve.
